There are far more stories of Springdale than appear here. Some were simply sold commercially to a variety of magazines and periodicals releasing all rights, while others simply faded away into the mist as too objectionable, even by my standards.

Some of these stories are not actually about Springdale, Washington at all. Rather, some are written about my brief stay in Clayton, Washington, behind the Clayton Tavern. The cast of characters I met shortly after my first heart attack were as incredibly funny and sad, in their own way, as the original cast of people I met and came to love in Springdale.

Although today I now live in Spokane, visiting my cabin above Springdale on weekends, my ties to the residents of Springdale still remain, and I find myself talking with the real-life counterparts of some of my favorite characters almost on a daily basis.
